RIKA BURNHAM has worked as a choreographer and dancer in NYC since 1975. Trained in both modern and ballet techniques, Ms. Burnham directed her ensemble, the Burnham Company, from 1978 to 1989. Her work was recognized by fellowships in choreog-raphy from the NEA, special project funding from NYSCA, a Rockefeller Foundation grant, and commissions for new choreog-raphy from Dance Theatre Workshop, Dance Chance, and Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. Ms. Burnham was also commissioned to create numerous site-specific dances, including Dances for Stuart Davis at the Brooklyn Museum, the Everglades at the Neuberger Museum, lengthening dance at Artpark and the Fort Worth Water Gardens, Salad Days in Roosevelt Park, and The Milky Way at Wave Hill. Most recently, she revived Dances for a Building for the Yale Center for British Art and the Hudson Square Performance Series. Her previous work with Christopher Caines includes soloist roles in A Thousand Candles (1997), True Love (1998), ARIAS (2000), and The War Council (2001).
AMMON DENNIS is from Lodi, California, and received a B.A. in Dance from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. He has danced for Andrew Jannetti, John Passafiume, Covenant Dance Theatre, Sue Bernhard Danceworks, Nicholas Andre Dance Thea-ter, and Neville Dance Theatre, among others. He currently studies ballet with Douglas Boulivar, Rachel List, and Marjorie Mussman. This is his second appearance with CCDC.
ROYCE ZACKERY, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, received his BFA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He has worked with Pascal Rioult, Rebecca Kelly Ballet, Tomas/Ortiz Dance Com-pany, Staten Island Ballet, NathanTrice/Niles Ford, and Ballet Neo, among others. He has also worked in musicals, including Oklahoma! and Tommy Tune's My One and Only. He currently teaches technique and partnering around NYC. This is Royce's first appearance with CCDC.
